Mozambique Trip. 1280 960 Keir Tayler

From having pioneered into Mozambique in the 1990’s for 13 years it was a great joy to travel with a true apostolic friend, Louis Nel (from Church Unlimited, Nelspruit) into the nation again.
We spent a week meeting pastors from all churches and ministering to them in 3 specific locations: Xai-Xai, Machalene and Chimonzo. Leaders came to the meetings from Inhambane, Vilancoulos and other towns. Not only from afar but also locally in each town – from all denominations.
Their stories of how they met me and what happened at the crusades was so so encouraging to hear. Especially what our Lord has done with them since those days.
In doing crusades into Mozambique over many years I always took teams to help, but more importantly for the teams to experience the power of the gospel in healings, deliverance and salvations. My heart was to take the gospel to where it had not been preached fully. “To the Streets of no Name”. The result was churches were planted and others grew in size.
Here is one story: Pastor Paulo from Machalene said, ‘I invited you to come and do a crusade here at my home, and you asked me – where is my wife? … I told you that we were separated, then you said that I must be reconciled to her before you come and do a crusade …. later we met again and I was settled with my wife. So we planned a crusade. I will never forget this: a cripple came and asked me if you would pray form him before the crusade …. you said no and that he must hear the gospel first. He did. Then he came to the front of the crowd and a blonde lady (Bridget Ellwood) was near him and you told her to lay her hand on him (I was on the platform). She did, then you commanded him to walk, and he put down his crutches and walked, then ran. (Paulo laughs with delight). But (he continues) at the end of the crusade a man comes up to me and wants to know where his cripple friend had gone because he must take him home (Paulo chuckes) – he could not find him; I told him I did not know where he had gone, but here were his crutches on the ground … he had run home to tell his family that God had healed him’.
Another testimony was from pastor Pedro who had heard the gospel at crusade in Macia, and now has a large church in Xai-Xai, and has a number of other churches around the same city. God builds His church .
We did tree nights of “Revival Meetings”, in Pedro’s church. A great time of refreshing. Salvations and healing were seen.
It was such a joy to heard what God is doing in the once war-ravaged nation of Mozambique. Well done Louis.
