No 3. There is a Sound. 150 150 Keir Tayler

During this time of lock-down, due to Covert-19, we have had a chance of not hearing the noise of fast paced life. We are at home, quietly doing little but have time for much. There is a sound of a city, sound of home and a sound of wildlife far away in the bush. Yet in this time there has been a different sound. A sound so quiet yet it can be so real. There is a sound of silence.
The first sound connected directly with man in the bible is –
Gen 3:8 “They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.” Adam and Eve were feeling guilty and ashamed from not believing God’s word. Yet they heard the sound of His presence!
His presence has a certain sound. Then God asked, “Adam where are you”. It was a cardiac not a geographic question. (Where are you with Me)?

Lock-down has not been a time of hiding but an opportunity for us to hear His presence.
1Ki 18:41 “And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.” Rain not seen but heard first.
2Cor 4:18 “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
Covert is temporal, and so are many things we all face. But we can pay more attention to eternal things.
1Cor 14:8 “For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?”
Joel 2:1 “Blow a trumpet in Zion, sound an alarm on my Holy Mountain’.
A clear singular sound does something – it awakens, gathers, rallys to be ready.
Act 2:2 “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting”.
Lk 1:41 “When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.”
When destiny inside you hears a sound it is unlocked and leaps for joy. When a persons purpose within their heart is awakened joy erupts; like the birds at dawn begin to sing with expectation. Revival within Elizabeth was awakened by the sound of Marys voice. Mary in ‘expectation’, was set by an encounter with destiny.

A Game Ranger was tasked to take a tourist on a game drive. He was not too happy about this for two reasons. First he had never taken a blind person on a drive before and secondly, he was not sure how effectively he could describe to her what was out there. He started off and after a couple of stops the blind lady said, “It’s OK I can ‘see’ with my ears, sssh … listen with me.” He did. He closed his eyes and began to identify sound with creature. He did not have to give Latin names, color, size and behavior. Toward the end of the drive they came upon a couple of Leopards mating on one side of the road. It was not a quiet event at all as the nature of the leopards in this act is anything but serene. There was snarling, growling, dust flying boys tumbling. The lady touched the ranger and said, “There is another leopard on this side of the road”. She indicated the other side. The ranger searched the bush and saw nothing. “Are you sure?” “Yes absolutely”. She replied. He looked again intently and saw nothing. She sat with her head facing that direction. Finally after a minute along came the leopard walking slowly down a trail toward the road and the mating pair on the other side. The ranger was amazed and asked, “How did you know there was another leopard there?” She replied, “I could hear his presence”.
