Authority vs Power. 400 267 Keir Tayler

The value of Authority is greater than that of Power.
Lk 10:8-9 “Whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat what is served to you; and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

If you know they would not accurately represent your heart to a city, you would never send them to represent you.
People have no right to carry out business in someone’s name unless: they know the person, know exactly what they have been commissioned to do and can prove they have been sent by that person.

‘Under” Authority: Lk 7:8 TPT Centurian said: “I am an ordinary man. Yet I understand the power of authority, and I see that authority operating through you. I have soldiers ‘under’ me who obey everything I command. I also have authorities over me whom I likewise obey. So Master, just speak the word and healing will flow.”
The centurion said, “I am a man under authority, and when I say something, people do what I say.”

Now catch this, the centurion’s understanding and implication was since Jesus was also under authority, if He said it, it would be done. What amazed Jesus was his use of the word “under”. Everyone else who had seen Jesus minister said Jesus ‘spoke with authority’, but this man said Jesus spoke ‘as one under authority’. The centurion understood what so many others had not grasped—the living reality that the authority in which Jesus moved was being given to Him by a greater authority (the Father).
No one else had recognized this! This is a primary key in receiving and operating in the Lord’s authority. It is impossible to operate rightly and do things with the Lord’s authority without first abiding under His rule.
The conclusion is this:
God’s – Authority comes out of union with the Lord.

Authority will not be available unless He decides to impart it. (Jn 3:27 John answered and said, ‘A man can receive nothing except it is given him from the heaven.’ TPT: John replied, “A man can receive nothing [he can claim nothing at all] unless it has been granted to him from heaven [for there is no other source than the sovereign will of God].”

With every delegated authority comes a restriction of operation. There are boundaries of operation. eg Jesus sent to: the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
The pressure of His presence is the greatest force that can be exerted upon a human being. Authority.

How does someone know if he/she is authorized or not?I f the question is being asked, they are not authorized, because if someone was sent, they were standing in front of the Lord when He sent them.
